RUBBER COMPOSITION FOR TIRE TREAD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition for tire treads which maintain the good wet performance and low fuel cost properties of conventional aluminum hydroxide-containing compositions and have improved abrasion resistance. SOLUTION: This rubber composition for tire treads comprises (A) 100 pts.wt. of a rubber component comprising at least one rubber selected from natural rubber and dienic synthetic rubbers, (B) 5-50 pts.wt. of aluminum hydroxide particles which have an average secondary particle diameter DL of <=0.8μm and a DL/Dl ratio of <=1.7 (Dl is an average primary particle diameter), and (C) 5-80 pts.wt. of at least one selected from carbon black and silica.
