PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify the structure and assembling while uniformly keeping an exhaust gas flow by forming an exhaust gas connection part as screwing means, fixing a spark protecting grid body and the exhaust gas connection part as fire preventing apparatus to the wall opening of a muffler casing. SOLUTION: This exhaust gas muffler is applied to an internal combustion engine for driving a manual working machine such as power chain saw. One end of a spark preventing grid body 6 is inserted to a wall opening 7 allowing the inner part 8 of a muffler casing 2 to communicate with the outer part 9 thereof, and an exhaust gas connection part 10 is connected to the other end, whereby a fire preventing apparatus 11 is constituted. A screw part 12 is formed on one end of the exhaust gas connection part 10, and the screw part 12 is inserted to a screw sleeve 22 inserted to the wall opening 7. According to this, the structure of the fire preventing apparatus 11 formed of the spark protecting grid body 6 and the exhaust gas connection part 10 is simplified to simplify the assembling and mounting, and the exhaust gas flow is uniformly kept.
