PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a sheet run without causing a flapping motion especially right before it is reversed in its motion and in its reversing stage. SOLUTION: In this method, a sheet 11 with its front edge set ahead passes through a contact point t2, 3 between a forward-disposed turning drum 3 and a cylinder 2 and the edge of the sheet 11 is lifted up by a guide blade 1 to be conveyed in the sheet travel direction along the guide face of a guide blade tip part 1.1 assisted by air blowing. Thus the sheet 11 is sent to the terminal part 1.2 of the guide blade 1. The sheet 11 makes a part of a flow path extending in the blown air flow direction until right after the reversal of the sheet 11 in its motion, so that a steady negative pressure works in the flow path.
