PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce an operating cost by using slag as flow sand or shot glove. SOLUTION: The refuse incinerating system comprises a fluidized bed incinerating furnace 1 for incinerating a refuse, a boiler for recovering a heat from exhaust gas (b) exhausted from the furnace 1, a bag filter for capturing fly ash (e) contained in the gas (b), an ash melting furnace 10 for melting the captured ash (e) at a high temperature to exhaust the melted ash as molten slag (f), a belt conveyor 14 for gradually cooling the slag (f), a comminutor 19 for comminuting the slag (g) after the cooling, and a sorter 20 for sorting the slag according to particle sizes. Of the sorted slags, the slag g1 having a small particle size is charged in the furnace 1 as a flow sand, and the slag g2 having an intermediate particle size is charged in the boiler 2 as a shot glob for removing the adhered ash. The slag g3 having a large particle size is returned to the comminutor 19, comminuted, and then sent to the sorter 20.
