PURPOSE: A stock control computer system is provided to execute the update of the stock quickly, preparing shopping list automatically without direct participation of the customer in connection with the selection of an item and the handling. CONSTITUTION: A stock control computer system consists of third steps. At the first step, an electronic version of a store purchase receipt is transmitted from the store to a home computer, and the home computer of the customer renews the current stock list by adding the purchased product. At the second step, if a product is disposed by a customer, the product is deleted from the stock list. For example, the product is deleted by responding to an electronic indication of the product code generated by scanning the packing part of the product. At the third step, if a customer starts to check the home stock, the current stock list is compared with the previously decided stock level, and it displays an indication which shows what products need to be replaced.
