PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piezoelectric ceramic material extremely excellent in the strain characteristic compared with the conventional piezoelectric ceramics and a new method for producing the same. SOLUTION: Relating to the ceramic containing Pb(Ni1/3Nb2/3)O3 of a perovskite-type complex compound and PbTiO3 and PbZrO3 of perovskite-type simple compounds as main components, when Pb(Ni1/3Nb2/3)O3, PbTiO3 and PbZrO3 are set as X mol%, Y mol% and Z mol%(X+Y+Z=100), respectively, in the triangular coordinates having Pb(Ni1/3Nb2/3)O3, PbTiO3 and PbZrO3 as apexes, the solid soluble piezoelectric ceramic has, as the composition of main components, the composition included within the triangle having the composition (X=52, Y=34, Z=14), the composition (X=49, Y=37, Z=14) and the composition (X=49, Y=34, Z=17) as apexes. |
