PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform the operation of specifying a certain object from a list listed and displayed on a screen for instance by a simple operation, to reduce operation loads compared to a cross key or the like and to improve operability by providing the controller with the operation input device of a rotary disk type functioning as a push switch as well. SOLUTION: This game controller is provided with a housing 15 provided with left and right holding parts 13L and 13R presenting an almost conical shape as a main body and a circuit board K is incorporated inside the housing 15. Then, as the operation input device, two main buttons 9 are arranged at the front surface center of the housing 15 and the cross key 3 and four instruction buttons 5 are arranged on the left and right of the front surface respectively. In this case, a rotary dial 19 is disposed on the left side of the instruction buttons 5. The rotary dial 19 is pivotally supported by the tip of an L-shaped metal fitting 23 pivoted to a supporting pedestal 21, the elastic roller 27 of a rotary encoder 25 is rotated by rotating the rotary dial 19 and electric signals corresponding to the rotation amount are generated.
