PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the friction generated between a rope and the bottom portion of a shackle small by making at least the outer periphery of the bottom portion of the U-shape of a nearly U-shaped shackle main body rotatable around the center axis of the bottom portion. SOLUTION: A shackle main body 2 is formed into a nearly U-shape with a pair of side portions 20a, 20b and a bottom portion 21. A wire rope W is inserted to the inside of the roller 23 of the shackle main body 2, then it is wound on a hoist load B. The tip of a shackle pin 3 where a thread groove 31 is provided is removed from the through hole 202a of the side portion 20a, and the tip of the shackle pin 3 is inserted into the ring of the ring-shaped tip section W1 of the wire rope W. The thread groove 31 at the tip of the shackle pin 3 is screwed to the thread groove 203 a of the through hole 202a to fit the shackle pin 3 to the shackle main body 2, the wire rope W is pulled in the direction of an arrow, and the hoist load B is fastened and lifted.
