PURPOSE: A gas cock is provided to improve the reliability of opening motion of a safety valve in the operation for ignition. CONSTITUTION: A plunger(9) pressurizes a pin(14) be receiving the force of clockwise rotation from an arm unit(15b) of an insertion member(15) in the counterclockwise rotation of the operation for ignition. The plunger precedes by the counterclockwise rotation faster than the pin. The pin slides toward a narrow portion(92) and free from the inability of the clockwise extrusion to the opening portion of a safety valve(3) via a rod(2). In the operation for ignition, the narrow portion surely fitted to a slant portion to move the plunger clockwise. The rod is surely extruded rightward by the plunger. Thereby, the reliability of opening motion of the safety valve is improved.
