PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple frozen soil melting prevention method reduced in wasteful labor and time, having high thermal isolation effect. SOLUTION: In a frozen soil melting prevention method for preventing a frozen soil from melting used in shield construction method using a frozen construction method, thermal insulator 2 is sprayed on an exposed frozen surface 1a located in a traveling direction A of a shield machine 4 so as to prevent the frozen soil from melting or, before the thermal insulator 2 is sprayed, a thermal insulation board 3 is installed, and the thermal insulator 2 is sprayed on the thermal insulation board 3 so as to prevent the frozen soil from melting.
