<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine starting device for a hybrid vehicle to suppress the occurrence of a behavior change of a vehicle due to the temporary increase of a motor output when cranking of an engine is executed by the output of a motor for running. SOLUTION: An engine starting device decides an engine starting speed based on an accelerator pedaling amount at a step S12. Since, when the accelerator pedaling amount is low, a starting speed is set to the low speed side, starting torque Tc of a motor is reduced by an amount equivalent to an amount by which the starting speed is set to the low speed side at a step S14. Meanwhile, since, when the accelerator pedaling amount during a demand for acceleration is high, a starting speed is set to the high speed side, the starting of an engine is effected in a short time at steps S14-S26.</p> |
