PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve an engine brake performance and prevent generation of undesired vibration of a car due to torque fluctuation by carrying out a braking control of a lock-up clutch based on a data representing a selection control region and a request signal from a control mode changing request operation part in a fixing setting mode. SOLUTION: A lock-up(L/U) clutch control condition determining part 14 represents a mode selection signal from a mode selection operation part 22 as a fixing setting mode, and further supplies a request signal from a L/U clutch control mode changing request operation part 26. Based on a data representing a selection control region stored in a memory part 16, determination whether or not a control condition of the L/U clutch is made or not is carried out, a determination output is fed, and an operation control part 12 carries out an control of the L/U clutch operation in response to the determination output from the L/U clutch control condition determining part 14, whereby the L/U clutch can be selectively controlled in response to the request signal. Accordingly, in the fixing setting mode, an undesired vibration of the car due to torque fluctuation can be avoided.
