The system for deflecting wheels consists of a special accessory as shown in figure 1, made of stamped steel sheet with the appropriate shape (two main crossed ribs n1 and n2, a peripheral lip r which forms an angle of 90 degrees with the main body) which, in conjunction with the steering rods, creates the requirements for deflection of the wheels so as to prevent them violently striking the part separating the engine unit and the passenger compartment, as an aid to passive safety in motorcars. |
