METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR CONTROLLING BACKWARD POWER IN RADIO INTERFACE UNIT(RIU) OF WIDE-CDMA WIRELESS LOCAL LOOP(WLL)

PURPOSE: A method and apparatus for controlling a backward power in a radio interface unit(RIU) of a wide-CDMA wireless local loop is provided to decrease a job performed in a processor by detecting a receiving characteristic of an install space and talking as a certain transmitting value inputted in a RIU processor. CONSTITUTION: A RF processing unit(120) receives a signal received through an antenna(110) and performs a RF process. A modem(130) outputs a RSSI(receive signal strength indicate) data for indicating a strength of a receiving signal. A processor unit(140) estimates a change width of transmitting and receiving electric field intensities of a space in which a RIU is installed based on the RSSI value of the modem(130), and sets a range of a received RSSI value and a transmitting value.
