TANTAL(V)-NITRIDE-PIGMENT, PRODUCTION PROCESS AND USE THEREOF

PURPOSE: A tantal(V)-nitride-pigment is provided which has increased color value and color intensity by treating tantal(V) nitride in a melted salt. CONSTITUTION: A production process of tantal(V)-nitride-pigment comprises the steps of: 1) nitrifying tantal(V) oxide, tantal(V) oxide hydride or nitrided tantal(V) oxide to ammonia in the presence or absence of a solvent at 500-1100°C, wherein nitrification is implemented in the presence of at least one aqueous salt selected from the group consisting of alkali-metal, alkaline-earth metal nitrate, chloride and carbonate; 2) treating a nitride product for 1-100 minutes at 100-600°C in a melted salt having a melting point of 100-600°C before or after washing a solvent that randomly exists; and 3) dissolving the salts in water to extract a pigment.
