PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently purifying by oxidizing ammonia and BOD materials in contaminated water and at the same time, separating foam of a blowing gas from the liquid surface upper part in a treated water tank to remove the contaminants stuck to the foam in the contaminated water. SOLUTION: Culturing water 2 overflowed from a culturing water tank 1 is charged in a treating tank 3 and air 4 is charged. A honeycomb tube 5 is packed in the treating tank 3 to oxidize ammonia in the culturing water 2 with nitrification bacteria stuck to the surface of the honeycomb tube 5 into nitrous acid or further nitric acid and similarly to decompose and remove the BOD material with BOD oxidizing bacteria stuck thereto. Floating solid, turbid matter, coloring matter and the propagated microorganism stripped from the honeycomb tube 5 are stuck to the foam 6 generated on the liquid surface of the treating water tank to be removed and the separated treated water is filtered to be circulated to the culturing water tank 1 as a purified water.
