<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a sizing agent composition having excellent mechanical characteristics such as toughness and strength by making the composition include a water-dispersible, water-soluble or water-emulsifiable resin selected from a polyepoxide, a polyester, a polyvinyl acetate, etc., an alkoxysilane, an inorganic or organic nucleation agent, various, additives, a pH adjuster and water. SOLUTION: This composition comprises 2-20 wt.% of a water-dispersible, water-soluble or water-emulsifiable resin selected from a polyepoxide, a polyester, a polyvinyl acetate, a polyacrylic acid ester and a polyurethane, 0.1-10 wt.% of an organic functional alkoxysilane such as 3-amino-propyl- trimethoxysilane and 0.1-20 wt.% of a nucleation agent such as talc or barium sulfate which has 10-300 nm average particle diameter, is chemically inert and is thermally stable even in a molten polymer. The composition further comprises 0-5 wt.% of one or more selected from an emulsifying agent, a lubricant, a wetting agent and an antistatic agent, 0-5 wt.% of a functional additive for adjusting the composition to pH 4-10 and water.
