PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for producing concrete which does not degrade the strength of the concrete even if a large amount of an intimate mixture containing soluble silicic acid, such as fly ash and blast furnace slag, is used. SOLUTION: The bleeding water formed from cement and water or the artificial water containing the hydration products Ca(OH)2, NaOH, KOH, Mg(OH)2, etc., equal to the bleeding water is used as the water for kneading and mixing the intimate mixture containing the soluble silicic acid, such as fly ash and blast furnace slag, fine aggregate and coarse aggregate. Strength development is made further earlier and the heat of hydration is completely suppressed by increasing the amount of the intimate mixture containing the soluble silicic acid, such as fly ash, by which thermal crazing and cracking may be prevented.
