PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lightweight fuel inlet which is excellent in wear resistance when the closing and opening of a cap are repeated. SOLUTION: This fuel inlet 10 consists of a retainer 11 and an inlet pipe 22. The retainer 11 is an inlet for a fuel supply nozzle with a spiral groove 12 screwed into a cap and is formed out of a steel pipe machined in consideration of wear resistance against the closing and opening of the cap. The inlet pipe 22 is formed out of an aluminum pipe machined in consideration of weight reduction. Therefore, the fuel inlet 10 exhibits the effects of weight reduction and high wear resistance when the closing and opening of the cap are repeated.
