PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-weight and compact power transmission device having a simple structure so as to improve torque transmission efficiency. SOLUTION: This power transmission device is provided with a clutch device 35, a differential mechanism 37 in which a differential rotary member 75 is integrally connected with its one side member 49, a gear 39 connected with the differential rotary, member 75, a gear 41 connected with a differential rotary member 77, a gear 43 connected with a vehicle body side, and a connection member 45 which can be engaged with and disengaged from these gears 39, 41, 43 and is moved to a forward rotation position where these gears 39, 41 are connected and a reverse rotation position where these gears 41, 43 are connected. The other side member 51 of the clutch device 35 is connected with an engine side, and a third differential rotary member 73 of the differential mechanism 37 is connected with a wheel side.
