PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the pressure loss and friction loss in a multi-vane compressor comprising a plurality of vanes substantially radially fitted to a rotor in such a manner as to be slidable by forming a discharge port provided on a cylinder so that it is inclined in the rotating directional side of the rotor as it leaves the opening part to the cylinder surface. SOLUTION: A rotor 5 comprising a plurality of vanes 7 slidably fitted to a plurality of radially formed vane grooves 6 is rotatably housed in a cylinder 3, and the rotor 5 is rotated in direction R, whereby a coolant gas sucked through a suction port is compressed and discharged through a discharge port 10a. The discharge port 10a is formed so that it is inclined in the rotating directional side of the rotor 5 as it leaves the opening 11 to a cylinder surface 2, or with an inclination of the angleαparallel to the flow to X-axis. A discharge valve valve seat surface surrounding the discharge-side opening is set substantially at a right angle to the discharge port 10a to shorten the discharge port 10a as much as possible. According to this, heat receiving loss and pressure loss can be reduced to improve the compressor operating efficiency.
