PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized endoscopic instrument capable of performing the operation setting of many video signal processing functions or the like with excellent operability from a camera head. SOLUTION: An object image obtained by an endoscope 2 is imaged by the camera head 21, an image signal supplied through a cable 23 to a video processor and they are displayed on a monitor. Also, signals from two switches of a setting dial 31 and a switch 32 provided on the camera head 21 are supplied through the cable 23 to the video processor and used for the setting of the video signal processing function or the like. At the time, by selecting the function of a setting object by the setting dial 31 and performing the operation setting of the selected function by the switch 32, the setting to many video signal processing functions or the like is performed just by the two switches and thus, the camera head 21 is miniaturized and the operability is improved.
