INTELLIGENT OPTICAL DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM

PURPOSE: An intelligent optical distribution system is provided to distribute the resources of a BTS(Base Transceiver Station) effectively and economically according to the traffic amount by connecting the BTS and a remote antenna by an optical cable to extend the coverage of the BTS. CONSTITUTION: A BTS interface unit generates more than two forward sector signals by assigning a plurality of forward PN signals to more than two remote antennas. A BTS repeater, generating remote antenna control signals and pilot signals, detects reverse relay PN signals inputted through the optical cable from the remote antennas and provides the detected signals to the BTS interface unit. More than two remote antenna interface units, connected with the BTS repeater by the optical cable and installed in the remote antenna domains, receives reverse channel signals from mobile stations through transceiver antennas and forward channel signals from the BTS repeater.
