MAIN CONTROL UNIT OF HOST DIGITAL TERMINAL IN FIBER LOOP CARRIER-CURB SYSTEM

PURPOSE: A main control unit of a host digital terminal in the FLC-C(Fiber Loop Carrier-Curb) system is to provide an apparatus to carry out the function of overall control and management for the HDT(Host Digital Terminal) of the FLC-C system. CONSTITUTION: A microprocessor unit(310) controls each of the units configuring a main control unit(215). A status and control register unit(320) is composed of registers storing the required status and control information of an FLC-C system. A LAN interface unit(330) carries out the function to interface an ethernet port with the microprocessor unit(310). A serial communication unit(340) connects the microprocessor(310) and a required operating terminal each other. An inter processor communication processing unit(350) helps the microprocessor(310) and the microprocessor of other function units inside of a host digital terminal carry out the inter processor communication each other. A first cell bus connection unit(360) and a second cell bus connection unit(370) are connected with an ATM cell bus(213) so that the main control unit(215) can transmit nd receive the signal of an ATM cell unit. An operation and maintenance function unit(380) carries out the operation and maintenance function required for ATM cells inputted and outputted through the first cell bus connection unit(360).
