PURPOSE: A method for filtering program guide data and an apparatus thereof are provided to determine whether the program guide data is to be received or not by itself. CONSTITUTION: A method for filtering program guide data includes a first thru a third steps. At the first step(300), whether the program guide data is same to the data previously delivered to a host is determined. At the second step(302), an incoming program guide data is abandoned when the program guide data is determined to be same to the data previously delivered to the host. At the third step(304), a new program guide data is delivered to the host when the program guide data is determined to be not same to the data previously delivered to the host. |
