PURPOSE: An apparatus for preventing electromagnetic wave leakage in a brown tube display is provided to prevent electromagnetic wave leakage with simplified structure. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for preventing electromagnetic wave leakage in a brown tube display includes magnetic flux detection coils(11), and a set of magnetic flux generation coils(12,13). The magnetic flux detection coils(11) detects the magnetic flux leakage corresponding to a horizontal and vertical synchronous signals and generates a current whose amount is corresponding to the flux. The set of magnetic flux generation coils(12,13) are implemented on a display front panel so as to make an aperture face upward. A current is forced to flow through the magnetic flux generation coils(12,13) so as to make a magnetic field to cancel the leakage magnetic flux from a deflection yoke.
