PURPOSE: An apparatus for compensating mis-convergence of a cathode ray tube is provided to make inductance difference bigger in the center between the central part and the upper/lower part of vertical screen for better compensation. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for compensating mis-convergence of a cathode ray tube includes a rectifier(200), a trigger generator(202a), and a switch(201a). The rectifier(200) stabilizes the current passing through vertical compensation coil(12). The trigger generator(202a) generates a trigger voltage controlling a vertical deflection current through the vertical compensation coil with reference to a voltage from the rectifier and a predetermined reference voltage. The switch(201a) is coupled in parallel form with the vertical compensation coil and determines whether the current is to be switched or not based on a trigger voltage generated from the trigger generator(202a).
