PURPOSE: An apparatus and method for reserving a communication of a multi handset system are provided for implementing a communication using a frequency allocated to himself by each handset registered to a base of a multi handset system. CONSTITUTION: A multi handset system includes a base(100) and a plurality of handsets(HS1, HS2,..., HSn) registered to the base(100). The base(100) is connected with an external switch through a line interface(10) and includes a paging key(20), a monitoring LED(30), a power on LED(40), a RF module(50), a power supply unit(60), a charging unit(70), a reservation memory(80), and a controller(90). Each handset(HS1, HS2,..., HSn) includes different identification code(ID) allocated to himself.
