METHOD FOR RECOGNIZING RECEIVER DISPOSAL SOUND

PURPOSE: A method for recognizing a receiver disposal sound is provided to release wireless resources by automatically recognizing a receiver disposal sound generated when a user laid down the receiver wrongly after finishing a call in the WLL(Wireless Local Loop) system. CONSTITUTION: Frequencies having a maximum energy is detected after the whole energy of buffered input signals and the energy of each frequency are calculated(ST11-ST16). If the detected frequencies are accorded with a disposal sound frequency, a disposal sound detection mode is selected and a detection value is increased at a required rate(ST17-ST19). Comparing the increased detection value with a maximum threshold value and determining that the receiver disposal sound lasted for more than a required time if the detection value is larger than the maximum threshold value, a control signal to release wireless resources is outputted to a microprocessor(ST20-ST22).
