<p>PURPOSE: An epoxy curing agent, characterized by comprising an epichlorohydrin-metaxylylenediamine reaction product, is prepared, which can obtain non-blushing coatings of high gloss, long pot life and fast cure time. CONSTITUTION: An epoxy curing agent composition which is a reaction product produced by reacting components consisting of about 2 to about 10 moles of unreacted metaxylylenediamine and about 1 mole of epichlorohydrin, wherein said reaction product contains no greater than 4.9 weight percent metaxylylenediamine, and an aqueous alcohol solvent, wherein the water contributed by the aqueous alcohol solvent is present from about 20 to about 80 weight percent, based on the weight of said composition.</p> |
