SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of initially rolling ingot along its wide face from side of large base of ingot towards its small base in reduction range equal to ingot conicity degree in reduction plane; using reduction values as maximum as possible; at rolling ingot from side of its small base towards large base using reduction values as minimum as possible for providing stable transfer of rolled piece to other side of mill.
