<p>An X-ray CT apparatus comprising a scanner (4) mounted with an imaging system having an X-ray source (5) for generating X-rays emitted radially toward an object (7, 31) and imaging means (6) opposed to the X-ray source and adapted to receive X-rays transmitted through the object to form a transmitted X-ray image, rotating means for rotating the scanner around the object, restructuring means (11) for restructuring a three-dimensional X-ray absorption coefficient distribution image of an object from the transmitted X-ray image, setting means (24) for setting the rotation axis projection position which is the position where the rotation axis of the scanner is projected on the detection surface of a two-dimensional sensor constituting the imaging means, wherein according to the contrast of the X-ray absorption coefficient distribution image restructured by using the rotation axis projection position determined by the setting means, the rotation axis projection position is estimated, an X-ray tomographic image or/and three-dimensional X-ray image of the object is formed from the three-dimensional X-ray absorption coefficient distribution image restructured at the estimated rotation axis projection position, and the X-ray tomographic image or/and three-dimensional X-ray image of the object is displayed, whereby the rotation axis projection position is determined with high accuracy, and the quality of the three-dimensional absorption coefficient distribution image is high.</p> |
