Each of the items (1) to be displayed (samples of wood, laminated material, metal, etc.) is provided with a bow shaped insertion slot (2) at one side. The item (1) can be joined to the display device by inserting a vertical axle (6) into the open end of the slot (2) and moved partly around the axle (6) in order to be shown to a potential customer. Several items (1) can be transported simultaneously, each can be removed individually when no longer needed. The display device can be designed in any size and can come in the shape of a book or be integrated in a box or a suitcase.
