A rolling element bearing comprises an inner ring, an outer ring, a series of rolling elements which are in contact with the raceways of said rings, and a cage (1) providing spacings (5) between the rolling elements, a plurality of said spacings being non-uniform. At least two of the non-uniform spacings are mutually different magnitudes, in order to obtain a better behaviour with respect to vibration and sound generation.
