PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a joint device being structurally simple, providing sufficient strength, and absorbing the shaking, if any, of right and left buildings in longitudinal and horizontal directions, so that the buildings can be restored to their original condition without damage. SOLUTION: This device includes a pair of guide rails 6 provided generally horizontally on the joint 2 side right and left skeletons 5 of right and left buildings 3 constructed via the joint 2, and at least two or more sliding support bars 7 each disposed in a tilted condition in which both ends thereof slide along the pair of guide rails 6. The device also includes a support bar 9 pivotably supported against the at least two or more sliding support bars 7 by means of pivotal support pins 8, and a joint plate 11 mounted on the support bar 9 with both ends of the joint plate 11 covering the joint side right and left skeletons.
