A compact crane for a construction site is supported on its ground support struts on the foundation plate of the construction. The vertical mast (6) is assembled from interlocking sections which are winched in from underneath through the ground support frame, and is raised as the construction rises. The mast is stabilized by holes through the floors of the construction, with sleeves (1) between the mast and the floors.
