A computer having connections to a digital communication medium accepts purchase inquiries and purchase orders (item 310 of figure 3), executes the purchase inquiries and orders by interfacing with provider computer databases (item 320 of figure 3), and transmits an electronic digital signal which can be printed (item 370 of figure 3) as a verification of an executed purchase order. In one embodiment, a computer having connections to the internet collects information from a customer operating a remote computer via a user interface provided by the computer (item 310 of figure 3). The user interface is further used to display purchase information retrieved by the computer from provider computer databases (item 320 and 330 of figure 3). Once the customer authorizes a purchase (item 340 of figure 3), the computer executes the order (item 350 of figure 3) and transmits computer code readable by a web browser that contains encrypted information which provides printable verification of the purchase order (item 370 of figure 3).
