摘要 A valve control for an IC engine in which one of the inlet valves of a cylinder can be temporarily made inactive has a compensating duct (109) between the two inlet ducts (461, 462). If one of the inlet valves is inactive in set operating modes of the engine then the duct prevents buildup of fuel/air mixture behind the valve and prevents a reduction in burn efficiency. The duct also prevents false mixture setting when the valve opens again. The duct is either produced in the cylinder head casting or is machined after casting.
