The assembly comprises a probe in the stomach or intestine of each animal with sensors for measuring state magnitudes of the animal organism, a least one measuring signal transmitter, and a central control with a signal receiver. A computer processes the signals to form control signals transmitted via at least one interface. The control signals operate a supply and/or tending unit for the animal, which for this purpose and for control signal reception is coupled to the interface. The probe is a bole embedded in the animal belly, e.g. the first stomach of ruminants. An Independent claim is included for the method.
