A coupling device is provided for interconnecting an attachment tool, such as a bucket (16 Fig. 1), to the loader arms 12a, 12b of a vehicle such as a skid steer loader or front-end loading tractor. The coupling device has support brackets 200, 202 adapted to support the attachment tool. The coupling device also includes handles 106, 108 which control coupling pins (144, 176 Fig. 3). The coupling pins are angled in opposite directions and diverge from each other. Pivoting the handles moves the coupling pins between an extended position (Figs. 4 and 5) and a retracted position (Figs. 3 and 6). In the extended position the coupling pins engage apertures (250 Fig. 5) in a mounting plate of the attachment tool in order to lock the attachment tool to the coupling device; in the retracted position they are withdrawn from the apertures in order to unlock the attachment tool. The coupling pins may have tapered ends, and shrouds 190 to protect them from debris. |
