An air conditioning system for an automotive vehicle having a sunroof (1), a sunshade (50) comprising a number of louvers (56) and installed in a ceiling opening (4) located below the sunroof (1), and a roof air path (28) formed between the sunroof (1) and the sunshade (50) so as to be in communication with an air path (20) of the air conditioning system blows cold air into a passenger compartment (7) through the sunshade (50) via the roof air path (28) during cooling operation controlling angles of the louvers (56) of the sunshade (50), and draws recirculated air from an upper part of the passenger compartment (7) by a sub-blower (12) and directs the recirculated air to a main blower (11) during heating operation.
