PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coin type thin battery being excellent in battery characteristics and mass-production and having a thickness of 1.0 mm or less. SOLUTION: A power generating element 20 and a sealing plate 2 are placed on a case 1 integral with a gasket, which is extracted into a circle being coaxial with a circular hole 10 and having a diameter greater than that of the circular hole 10 from a metal plate laminated integrally with a resin film 9 for a gasket having a circular hole 10 by bonding and is formed into a bottomed cylinder by drawing. The circumferential edge 2a of the sealing plate 2 is held and sealed at a circumferential edge 1a of the case 1 via a gasket 3 formed of the resin film 9 by caulking and sealing.
