PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce cost by building a frame of the main body of caretaking unit with a plurality of columns and beams and attaching a lift unit to an attaching member provided on columns and beams. SOLUTION: The main body 10 of a caretaking bathroom unit comprises a plurality of columns 11 and beams 12, a waterproof pan 13, wall panels 14, a ceiling panel 15, a lift rail 16 provided between beams 12, and a lift unit 17; and a bathtub is provided below one end of the lift rail 16 and an entrance below the other end. Then, the lift unit 17 is equipped with traveling means 17a having drive means such as a motor for traveling and lifting or the like and a lift main body 17b suspended from means 17a. At the time of taking bath, a person such as physically handicapped person is placed on the main body 17b and carried from the entrance to the bathtub, the main body 17b is lowered and this person takes bath with the assistance by a caretaker. In this way, a lift rail can be erected without providing special lift rail fixing means, and securing of the strength of wall panels is not necessary and thus the cost can be reduced and this unit can be also applied to a traveling or rotary type lift.
