摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable change-over of the edge parts in flowing holes of sliding plates in a flow rate control device for controlling the flowing rate of molten metal from a molten metal vassel without varying the flow rate even under the operation. SOLUTION: In the flow rate control device of the molten metal, in which at least one piece of fixed plate 3 having the molten metal flowing hole and the first sliding plate 4 and the second sliding plate 5 having the molten metal flowing holes, are provided in a plate holding mechanism 2 disposed at the bottom part of the molten metal vessel 1 and a first driving means 6 and a second driving means 7 for sliding the first and the second sliding plates respectively are provided, the edge parts 9a, 9b, 10a, 10b paralleled in the sliding direction of the molten metal flowing holess 9, 10 in the first sliding plate 4 and the second sliding plate 5 are mutually changed over while restraining the variation of the flow rate of the molten metal by mutually or simultaneously sliding the first sliding plate 4 and the second sliding plate 5 with the first and the second driving means 6, 7.
