PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply and surely cut a band-like rubber material even having a large thickness or a cutting face with a small inclined angle. SOLUTION: In a device for cutting a band-like rubber material, when a motor 69 is operated so as to move a movable frame 26, a metal wire 53 and a running means 69 in the substantially widthwise direction of the band-like rubber member 16 while a motor 54 is operated so as to run the metal wire 53 at a high speed in the longitudinal direction, the band-like rubber member 16 is cut by the metal wire 53. Since the band-like rubber member 16 is cut by the thin metal wire 53, the contact area between the band-like rubber member 16 and the metal wire 53 is extremely small, thereby it is possible to simply and surely cut the band-like rubber member.
