PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To treat gastric hypomotility accompanied by delayed gastric emptying of a liquid and/or solid contents of the gastric antrum (stomach) by using a specific phosphodiesterase-4 (PDE4) and its isozyme subtype inhibitor. SOLUTION: This PDE4 inhibitor containing a compound represented by formula I or II [R is H, a 1-9C alkyl or the like; R1 is H, a 2-3C alkenyl, phenyl or the like; R2a and R2b are each H, a group or the like represented by formula III (R113 is H, bromo or the like)], e.g. 1-(1-cyclopentyl-3-ethyl-1H-indazol-6-yl)- oxocyclohexanecarbonitrile or its isozyme subtype is used. Furthermore, the daily dose of the compound represented by formula I or II is preferably about 10 μg to 60.0 mg/kg body weight. The inhibitor is effective in treating gastric hypomotility, i.e., gastric stasis. |
