PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably carry automobiles by correctly select and stop a turning type body support arm to support a plurality of types of car bodies from right and left sides according to the type of the car body produced. SOLUTION: A carrying device has a pair of front and rear hanger arms moving along rails for running. A body support device is provided at the lower edge of the hanger arms. The frame 16 of the body support device is turnably provided with a pair of front and rear perpendicular turning shafts 18 and 20. The first and second perpendicular turning shafts 18 and 20 are provided with gears 22 and 24 respectively. Between the frame 16 and the turning lever 26 of the perpendicular turning shaft 18, a pair of cylinders 28 which are provided back to back with each other are provided. The second perpendicular turning shaft 20 is detachably provided with a horizontal arm at the top end. A pair of the cylinders 28 comprise a first cylinder 32 and a second cylinder 34. The rod of the first cylinder 32 is connected to the frame 16 of the body support device through hinges, and the rod of the second cylinder 34 is connected to the tip of the turning lever 26 through hinges.
