PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate a hand's dirt, and to simplify an operation by setting a lead discharge part in an erected state by moving an operating part to allow a lead passage of the discharging part to communicate within a body. SOLUTION: When an operating part 16 of a cover 10 is moved down, a lead discharge part 12 is rotated by hinges 14, 15 to become an erected state. In this case, a groove 6 of a sidewall 5 communicates with a lead passage 11 of the part 12. In this state, when the part 12 is directed down and brought into coincidence with an opening of a lead tank of a mechanical pencil, a lead L in a body is dropped by its own weight, and can be supplemented in the tank of the pencil. A hollow protrusion part functions as for a control (regulating) so that the lead L is not discharged into the passage 11 of the part 12 at once in the case of supplementing the lead L in the body in the tank of the pencil.
