摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a forging apparatus enabling the reducing of pressing force by reducing the resistance in the case of fluidizing a material at the projecting part formed on the peripheral surface of a product into the recessing part of a die. SOLUTION: At least one side of a first punch member 3 and a second punch member 6 is a sliding die to press a blank 9 inserted into a gap. A die member 8 constitute a side surface peripheral wall 8a loosely movable in the pressing direction to the upper and the lower walls of the first punch member 3 and the second punch member 6, and a closed space is demarcated with the side surface peripheral wall 8a, first punch member 3 and second punch member 6. A floating member 10 can move the die member 8 in the pressing direction while giving the die member 8 a prescribed pressure against the pressing force to the blank 9 with the first punch member 3 and the second punch member 8. The resistance to the material flow is small by making the die member 8 movable in the pressing direction and thus, the pressing force can be reduced.
