PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oil injection type screw compressor equipped with a smoothly slidable slide valve for adjusting the capacity. SOLUTION: This oil injection type screw compressor 1 is provided with a slide valve 11 for adjusting the capacity, which is operated by connecting to a piston rod 4 of a hydraulic cylinder 2 located on the discharging side. Furthermore, a spring 18 that always energizes the slide valve 11 from the suction side toward the discharging side. This spring 18 is disposed so that the center of oil pressure acting on a piston 3 of the hydraulic cylinder 2 is located on the line of action of the resultant of the power generated by the spring 18 pressurizing the slide valve 11.
